We hold your health information with the utmost respect and care. Any information you share with us will remain confidential. We will ask you to sign our privacy statement when you become a new patient with us, as mandated by HIPAA laws. There are times when we are not obligated by law to get your permission to share your records, and that includes when we refer you to another physician or healthcare facility, and when we need to give your insurance company records of your chart for the purposes of payment of your bill. We will ask you to fill out a form indicating who we may share your information with, such as lab results, test results, etc. If you designate family members, we can leave messages with them if you are not available. If you do not designate anyone, then we will either contact you by phone or mail. Feel free to ask any questions about your privacy rights.
